The Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing & Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) is the trusted cybersecurity community for retail and consumer-facing industries with a mission to mitigate cyber risk by establishing trust, expanding knowledge and maturing capability through information and intelligence sharing. With the shared information of worldwide leading brands – including traditional retailers, online commerce, QSRs, drug stores, convenience stores, entertainment, lodging, consumer product and more – the RH-ISAC helps companies build better security through collaboration.

The events specialist reports to the senior program manager and is responsible for supporting the success and financial performance of RH-ISAC events and webinars.

  • Reports to Director of Events
  • Eligible for bonus (to be determined annually)
  • 32 hours per week (PT remote position)

Key Performance Measures

The responsibilities of this role include:
Achieve and exceed sponsorship sales goals for events and webinars 50%
Support event/webinar planning and coordination 30%
Own the billing and collections process for sponsorship payments to ensure efficient communications and on-time sponsor payments 20%

Achieve and exceed sponsorship sales goals for events and webinars

  • Achieve and exceed budgeted sponsorship sales goals for the annual RH-ISAC Summit, events, workshops and webinars including rebooking of past sponsors and developing/converting new sponsors
  • Research, develop and increase the pipeline of prospective sponsors
  • Work with the senior program manager to develop promotional sponsorship sales resources and communications and to update and maintain sales contracts
  • Maintain accurate sponsorship sales/communications records within company CRM
  • Identify and report on prospect trends, pipeline and sales forecasting to internal team
  • Coach event/webinar sponsors on how to achieve successful participation by providing pre-event sales communications, event status updates, and post-conference communications
  • Achieve a 4.4/5.0 overall sponsor satisfaction rating on event/webinar sponsor evaluations

Support event/webinar planning and coordination

  • Assist senior program manager with scheduling/coordinating event planning calls with internal team, Content Committee, speakers, sponsors and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with senior program manager to maintain accurate event/webinar tracking and dashboards for updates on event details and logistics, coordination with the marketing team and to provide updates on progress for achieving sponsorship sales goals and key milestones
  • Work collaboratively with the member support manager to initiate invoicing

Own the billing and collections process for sponsorship payments

  • Achieve 100% collection for sponsor payments
  • Work collaboratively with the member support manager to coordinate on invoicing joint Associate members/sponsors to ensure a seamless member/sponsor experience
  • Leverage RH-ISAC technologies/tools to generate invoices, track, document and report on status of sponsorship payments
  • Maintain efficient communication with sponsors and verify payments received prior to event participation
  • Report sponsor payments status to senior program manager, identify and resolve outstanding accounts

Additional assigned duties
