Join RH-ISAC for a threat briefing about the latest intel on observed incidents and emerging threats relevant to the retail and hospitality community, as well as mitigation or response techniques. Presentations include the following:

The Frontier AI Era: Managing and Defending the New Wave of Automated Traffic

Akamai will present a threat briefing on the new wave of automated traffic emerging in the frontier AI era. Melvin Columna and Shobhit Bhardwaj from Akamai will share what they’re seeing across retail and hospitality, from AI crawlers and autonomous agents, to the surge in bot and crawler activity driving infrastructure strain. We’ll also touch on the growing challenge is intent as teams struggle to tell whether an AI request is legitimate or malicious, even as industry-wide bot authentication standards are taking shape. The discussion will conclude with a defense playbook across Bot, WAF, API security, and segmentation to help organizations prepare.

FortiBleed: Inside a 47,000 Firewall Credential Dump

In June 2026, attackers harvested nearly 47,000 confirmed valid credentials from Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, the perimeter devices protecting store networks, POS systems, and guest Wi-Fi. No new vulnerability or misconfiguration. The passwords simply still worked. This session, presented by Flare, walks through the real dataset, how attackers combined credential stuffing, offline hash cracking, and full device config theft to build a pre-validated access inventory now actively selling on cybercrime forums, and what your team should do this week.
