WASHINGTON, D.C., August 6, 2019 – CISO members of The Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) announced the release of a TLP White CISO’s Guide to Preparing for the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
The RH-ISAC has partnered with its members and leading industry experts to produce this guide as a source for relevant and actionable insights to help cybersecurity leaders in retail and hospitality improve their understanding of and ability to prepare for CCPA compliance. The guide focuses on relevant articles and sections from the CCPA to maximize usability for companies of all sizes.
Development in digital technologies make it possible for global retail and hospitality companies to have a breadth of data, transforming how companies collect, manage and leverage consumer data to drive business results. These technological advancements have increased the importance of how companies need to view not only data protection, but data privacy as well.
RH-ISAC Vice President of Membership and Operations, Jennifer McGoldrick-Stenberg stated, “RH-ISAC members offer an array of services, goods, and experiences such as shopping, entertainment, dining, hospitality and gaming. In a world of shifting consumer expectations, these companies must constantly adapt to better protect consumers, employees and brands. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) was enacted to support consumer privacy. To help cybersecurity leaders prepare for CCPA, the RH-ISAC and experts from our membership community have come together to produce an industry guide as a source for relevant and actionable insights.”
