Carlos Kizzee, Melinda Reinicker to Join Retail & Hospitality ISAC

April 18, 2019- Washington, DCThe Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) today announced two new strategic hires: Carlos Kizzee as vice president of intelligence and Melinda Reinicker as director of marketing and communications.
As vice president of intelligence, Carlos will be responsible for developing intelligence strategies to continue the strong engagement of the RH-ISAC sharing community. Carlos comes to the RH-ISAC with previous ISAC experience, leading the Defense Security Information Exchange as executive director since 2015 where he guided the organization in its reorganization into the National Defense ISAC. Carlos replaces Tommy McDowell who previously announced his pursuit of a new business venture focused on cybersecurity/threat intelligence program evaluation and transformational services.

Before ND-ISAC, Carlos served as the Center for Internet Security’s vice president for multi-sector initiatives and  with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as the deputy director. He served in a number of other roles at DHS heading up strategic cyber Initiatives in critical infrastructure and protection. Upon retirement from the Marine Corps, Carlos served as counsel for the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. A graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, Carlos has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a juris doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a master of laws from the Judge Advocate General’s School of the Army at the University of Virginia’s School of Law.

Melinda Reinicker joins the RH-ISAC as director of marketing and communications. In this role, Melinda  will develop marketing and communications strategies to deliver member value, drive growth and build awareness of the RH-ISAC’s mission and vision to reduce cyber risks to retail and hospitality sectors. Previously, Melinda worked for the National Defense ISAC as the manager of marketing and communications. Before that, she worked for NTT Security as a marketing content manager and technical writer, and as a program analyst for the Control System Security Program and Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team within the DHS. Melinda is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and History.
